Things have been hectic in my non-computer life-- been busy breaking up and moving and starting a new job, so I haven't written anything in forever, it feels like. I've been TRYING to keep up with NaNo, and there's hope for me yet. My word count is ABYSMALLY low, still, but I have plenty in my head to write-- just haven't had the time to write it in. Packing your life into boxes will do that. I still intend to TRY, though. I'm well over 20k words behind at this point, though. >_<

areyougame this round. It feels like it's basically just a rehash of all the same stuff that keeps getting looked over, and because I was so busy, it's a rehash of all the stuff that keeps getting looked over, minus my own prompts that no one writes. I don't honestly MIND too terribly much, though-- almost all of the stories and almost all of the writers involved are EXCELLENT, and I've yet to read a story out of it that I thought was just drivel. Even the "worst" stories are still better than probably 9/10ths of the fanfic out there, so I know anything will be good.
It's just a little frustrating because, honestly, if I wasn't inspired to write for the prompt the first time around (or second, for some of them), I'm not going to want to write for it the second (and certainly not the third). I also know I really don't have a WHOLE lot of room to talk, since I actually didn't even FINISH all of my own claimed prompts this last round over at IJ anyway.
I guess I'm just frustrated because I genuinely *want* to be inspired by the prompts, because when NaNo is over, I'm going want something to write, and because I'm about to head into what promises to be a high point in my recent life (baring unforeseen disaster, of course) and I don't see anything in a fandom I actually know well enough to write that's new and inspiring.
And I do plan on finishing my past obligations once things settle down (including that halloween fic forcome_shots as well), but when that's all said and done, I think I'm backing out of Final Fantasy fiction altogether for awhile. I've discovered that I just don't do well writing in the same fandom for multiple stories in a row-- I'm going to have to space all the FF out as it is.
Anyway, again, not sure that anyone actually reads this, but it's helped me to get my thoughts in some kind of order. :D
